China Glaze Aquadelic Swatch

Now...I just wanted to do another China Glaze swatch to show that although the neons send me nuts it's not a bad brand, it was just those terrible neons. I wanted to show you another one of my loans, which I think is utterly beautiful, China Glaze Aquadelic. China Glaze Aquadelic is a mint slash aqua creme green/blue. I used three thin coats of Aquadelic to make sure I had the coverage I wanted, as China Glaze can be a little on the watery side.

China Glaze Aquadelic is one of the most beautiful mint's I have seen in a while, and actually a very flattering colour on. It would go with most skin tones as it isn't a horribly cold colour, it has some warmth to it.

I tend not to get on very well with the China Glaze brushes. I find they are too long and don't fan at all so you end up with an uneven finish, especially if you have long nails like mine, it takes some coverage to get it all, China Glaze is the only one that has let me down in that department.

So here it is the beautiful China Glaze Aquadelic, sunlight with flash as my sun wasn't direct this day :o(

As you can see you would never know the finish was uneven with a top coat, a top coat fixes most things!

All in all I love this colour and will more than likely buy this myself and add it to my collection. You should get a couple of days from this polish, sadly China Glaze just don't last unless you are me and get obsessive you could probably get a decent week from it.

Remember don't use your nails for anything, not to pick a label off, not to open anything and especially not in hot water. Treat your nails like precious stones and they will reward you by staying strong, long and healthy.

Never give up, you will get nice nails in the end you just have to look after them!

Jessica Iridescent Eye Swatch

Good evening everyone :o)

Although the colour that I am swatching today has been out for quite a while, little less than a year, I just can't resist blogging Jessica Iridescent Eye, it is from the Peacock Queen Collection. Every time I open my nail case Iridescent Eye sings to me, my eyes goes straight to it and I long to wear it. Now to get that reaction over a nail colour is unhealthy, I imagine it has a technical name for my problem haha, but as you will see from the below photos it's so worth the obsession. 

Jessica Iridescent Eye came out in 2012, with a huge reaction of it being a dupe of Chanel Peridot. Do I agree!? Absolutely, of course it is a dupe, why wouldn't a company jump on that fashion band wagon when Chanel have created a colour so loved and so beautiful. In my opinion there is nothing wrong with that, Chanel isn't a long lasting polish anyway. I would rather Jessica 100% any day over a designer label, and everything in fashion is copied, that's part of it all.

Back to Iridescent Eye, this colour is a major duo chrome with larger particles in it compared to others similar. Initially it has a copper flash to it, but as your nail curves down at the side you see the beautiful green and blue. When ever I wear this I get really lovely compliments, people describing it like being flashed at as the colour flips. Now lets see the photos.

Jessica Iridescent Eye with flash, you can see the chrome particles really well in this photo, but this doesn't bother me in the slightest. This is very much how it looks in real life, a great representation.

Jessica Iridescent Eye without flash, this is where you see the smoother look to the polish, but when the light catches it, it is identical to the above photo. I have to apologise for my thumb nail, it had a little split in it (my own silly fault for letting them get too long) and had to file it out.

Another great colour show of Iridescent Eye, here you can really see that green tone down the sides.

I really wanted to try and catch the green and blue in Iridescent Eye but this is the best I could do without getting mad at my camera.

Jessica polish is 3 Free and is packed full of goodness for your nails, so used along with one of their treatments your on the right path. Jessica varnish is, for me, a fabulous, unbeatable varnish. It lasts me over two weeks with care taken and is perfect for nails that are weak or bend easily. One of the reasons this varnish is so great is that it has a patented flexi formula, so it will bend with your nail, not crack and peel, and this is how my nails used to be. After using several Jessica treatments and polish I now have the nails you see today, a big thank you to Jessica you lovely, magic woman you!!

This colour is easy to remove but when painting it may be a little harder to get it all even due to the shimmer, but practice makes perfect and it's all worth the effort. I have worn this colour roughly 4-5 times, the only advice I can give is that re-tip/paint your nail tip with your top coat every other or 3rd day, this way it will stop wear. If you want to make it really last on your 3-4 day give the nails a complete fresh top coat, it will look brand new again and make it last even longer.

SpaRitual Emerald City & Positive Vibe Swatch

Good evening all, hope your weekend is as relaxing as mine :o)

I thought I would share with you a polish that I feel is really underrated and almost unknown, to me it should be known by all far and wide!

SpaRitual are a vegan friendly polish, free from DBP, Toulene, Formaldehyde and Formaldehyde Resin. It has a patented handle on all polishes which are fantastic, they are none slip and perfect grip length, I'm not sure about you but I don't paint well with small handles, I need something to hold. It has a slightly shorter brush than some brands, but I find my application is better with this than many others. 

Now for the colour mix, Emerald City is from SpaRituals Cool Contraltos Collection. Emerald is a huge colours that will be in throughout the spring and I expect the summer seasons, it's just too good not to last. Emerald City has a jelly type formula and will take about 4 coats, 3 if you apply it thickly. All these are with a top coat of my old reliable, Seche Vite, lots of bad stuff in it yes, but totally unbeatable in performance. I never recommend not using a top coat but these have a natural shine to them without.

Emerald City, Natural Light. In the light the Emerald really comes into it's own, it's an easily worn colour with a warmth to is.

Emerald City, Slight Shade 

SpaRitual Positive Vibe is from the Reflect Collection and is a mustard yellow creme polish. This colour I kind of didn't like all the much when I brought it, but once on (and I have worn it on its own on all nails) it looks stunning, I literally couldn't stop looking at them. The colour is underestimated and elegant, and I quite like it as a feature colour. This colour I feel would suit a vintage look really well for all you vintage fans, but if your like me and tend to wear too much black then it's perfect.

Positive Vibe, Natural Light.

The smell of SpaRitual is not offensive and it lasts me a week or more without chipping, but the average nail it should do 4-5 days easy, but will ware if you don't seal it up properly. 

What I mean about sealing it up is, going over the free edge and under the nail, this prevents and for me totally stops chipping! I then give my nails another coat of top coat 3 days later to seal it all in again and freshen that top layer which can be come scratched. By doing this I can get a fabulous 2 weeks from my varnish, but then I do nothing with my nails. I do not use them to open anything or scratch anything off. When I wash up I use gloves, the nails will become soft in the water and will encourage them to brake and peel, if you are prone to peeling like I am, definitely use gloves.

My overall opinion, I love these shades and I especially love them together. SpaRitual, for me, are way ahead of the game and many polishes are sometimes not quite right with their timing. The launch of Reflect although maybe a little on the darker side for some I think will do well, they have some real gems in the collection. I can't wait to purchase my next one, all I have to do now is choose! Suggestions welcome :o)
